Marcos Fernández-Barrero Music
I am an American concert pianist and have become a champion of the piano works of Marcos Fernández-Barrero. I am in the process of recording all his oevre, and have been presenting his music to enthusiastic audiences in the US and abroad. This season my bookings include Las Vegas, San Francisco, Sedona, Flagstaff, and Prescott. I am already booked to perform this music in France Summer 2024, and in 2025, a seven city tour in Australia.
The music of Marcos Fernández-Barrero touches the hearts of all, as exhibited by the response by all who hear it. People describe his music as magical and audience members have written to me that they feel “privileged” to hear me play it.

Mine has been a life in music. I have been a long time protegée of Luiz de Moura Castro and wish to carry on his legacy. Pedagogically we are descended from Beethoven, Czerny, and Liszt. My other major teachers and influences have included Louis Crowder, who for decades was affilliated with a piano festival in Puerto de Pollensa, Mallorca. He specialized in performing Spanish music, and when other students were learning “Fantaisie-Impromptu,” I was performing Albéniz Ibéria! My third teacher Joseph Villa, studied with Alicia de Larrocha and Claudia Arrau, and was also in the chain of the above piano lineage.
